Born in Markham, Ontario, Charles Thompson Noble entered McGill's Medical School in 1853 but left two years later to finish his medical studies at the University of Vermont. He spent his entire professional life as a general practitioner in the village of Sutton in the Lake Simcoe District of Ontario. Included among his patients was the young Stephen Leacock. His son, Charles Thompson Noble, graduated from the McGill Medical School in 1890 and succeeded him in his Sutton practice.
This item was donated Donald Hebb, Chancellor, December 8 1973 and was designated MG 3040.
In 2018 the intellectual control was revised and the record joined the McGill University Archives Collection.
This file contains an admission card for McGill Practical Anatomy course given by R. Palmer Howard, issued to Mr. Charles D. Noble, for the session beginning November 1, 1853.
Note on verso reads, "Mr. Noble dissected regularly during the session commencing 1st Nov 1853 & ending 1st May 1854" signed by R.P. Howard, Md., McGill College. Previously part of MG 3040.
