General note

In April 1947, Nobbs and Valentine, as requested by Reverend N.D. Pilcher, Rector of St. George’s Church, submitted plans and sections showing the existing fabric, and remarks on the state of the fabric, required operations, alterations and costs. In a letter dated May of the same year the rector replied that the church was overcome by the magnitude of the work suggested and that nothing very much was likely to be done at the time (N.D. Pilcher, Drummondville, to Percy Nobbs, Montreal, 27 May 1947, John Bland Canadian Architecture Collection, McGill University, Montreal).
