Edmund E. Simpson was born in San Francisco, California on February 2, 1912. He graduated from McGill Medical school in 1939 after an A.B. at the University of California at Berkeley. He moved to Sacramento and then Davis, California to practice. Founded Blackwood Press in 1956, located in Placerville, California, after buying a 6 x 10 hand press.
Gift of Dr. Simpson, 11 October 1988. Old accession number 879.
Fonds contains the correspondence between Dr. Edmund Evan Simpson and the Osler Library Librarians, W.W. Francis and Cecile Desbarats, from 1942 to 1964. The fonds contains 21 letters, original and copies.
