Exterior view photograph. Expo Theatre exterior (lot A-215). Designed to hold 4,000 people, the two storey Expo Theatre played host to the Montreal International Film Festival and the Fifth Canadian Film Festival. Its extensive backstage facilities was located in the rear section of the building and included rehearsal rooms, dressing room, wardrobe and work shops. Wedge shaped volume. Structural steel and reinforced concrete. Painted concrete blocks and asbestos panels. (S: 250' x 200' --- A: 60,000 sq. ft. --- H: 90' (fly loft block), 79' (auditorium block))
