George Box Drayton was born in Gloucestershire, England, in June 1784. He began an 8-year apprenticeship under an apothecary of London, Phil Nicholson, in 1798. In 1851, his occupation is 'general practitioner' by the censes of England. He is listed as residing in Middlesex in 1857.
