The fonds contains correspondence concerning a dinner in honour of Sir William Osler at the University Club, New York, organized by Beverly Chew, M. Taylor Pyne, Edward G. Kennedy, William Augustus White, Frederick R. Halsey and Ernest Dressel North in 1913. The fonds includes 74 original letters. E.D. North managed the correspondence for the event, which included numerous bibliophiles.

The fonds consists chiefly of student notebooks kept by F. Clarke Fraser while an undergraduate at Acadia University during the late 1930s-1940. They represent a variety of subjects, including zoology, physics, mathematics, and biology. Two notebooks date from his Med IV year (1949-1950) at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, one with ophthalmology lab and clinical notes and reading and lecture notes, and one an obstetrical diary from the Montreal Maternity Hospital. Also included is a later reprint of an article (published 1957), loose notes, and a photograph of F. Clarke Fraser and a companion dining at the Montreal restaurant Au lutin qui bouffe, famous for its resident piglet, which restaurant-goers were often photographed holding and feeding.

Fonds documents Dr. F.C. MacIntosh's teaching and research activities at McGill. The fonds contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, reprints of publications, photographs, documents related to the International Union for Physiological Sciences, lectures, and student reports. The fonds also contains a dossier on Professor George Ralph Mines (1886-1914) assembled by Dr. MacIntosh from 1982-1986. The dossier includes publications, photographs, obituaries, and autopsy information of G.R. Mines, as well as correspondence regarding his death and a copy of "The short brilliant career and strange death of G.R. Mines," written by MacIntosh in 1985.

Fonds also includes: typed letter signed from J. P. Crozer Griffith to Tisdall, Feb. 10, 1923, concerning a case on which Tisdall had consulted Griffith; autographed letter signed from Mrs. J. B. Gregory and Eliza J. Gregory, Aug. 2, 1920, agreeing to lease rental property to Tisdall; and autographed receipt signed from Mrs. J. B. Gregory acknowledging receipt of Tisdall’s rental payments.
