Samuel Wilkins Passmore was born abt. 1805, in Alphington, Devon, England.
He was a saddler in London, England, in the 1830s. He later moved to Canada and worked as a taxidermist. He did some work for Montreal's Museum of the Natural History Society in the 1870s.
In 1827, he married Elizabeth May (1804–1882). He died on August 9, 1890, in Toronto, Ontario.
