Luke, Philip
active 1841
May be a member of the Luke family that lived in St. Armand, Quebec, beginning in the early 1780s when Loyalist Colonel Philip Luke left the American colonies following the American Revolution. Col. Philip Luke was a known enslaver. He appears to have had a grandson, Philip Edward Luke, born in St. Armand in July 28, 1828. https://journalstarmand.com/old-cemeteries-of-saint-armand/ http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~chasluke/genealogy/surnames/fam295.html http://townshipsheritage.com/fr/news/nigger-rock-des-esclaves-au-qu-bec
