Note by Grace Revere Osler concerning her husband's appointment as Regius Professor of Medicine at Oxford. Mrs. Osler recalls the day when Osler informed her that he was being considered for the Regius Professorship. She remembers feeling excited and relieved, as she was ready and willing to leave America. While Osler was at Oxford for the meeting of the British Medical Association, he wrote his wife that he could not make up his mind, as he was still hesitant to leave Baltimore. She urged him to accept the appointment at Oxford without delay. She writes that while the Canadians were proud of Osler for his new appointment, the Americans were very upset by the news.
